tommy, in an emergency such as this, gargling in the bathroom with some tap-hot water and couple packets of salt might be significantly soothing. (I follow up the salty gargle by swishing out my mouth with nice cold water.) Only takes a couple minutes!

This is why BANKS were invented, people!

The woman said the money had been stashed in a mattress because she had had "traumatic experiences with banks" in the past. She would not elaborate.
I got hit with a phone scam last night. I got a call with a recorded message saying they were from Chase Fraud Operations and they wanted me to confirm that I can written a convince check on my Visa account. They told me to call back (800) 766-4908 with the confirmation number of 0900 by 2:00pm Eastern time tomorrow and to have my account number ready. It was a recording with a female voicemail voice the typical change in voice for variable information like the date and confirmation number.
I didn't catch it at first, but I have a Chase MasterCard, not a Visa, but the even confirmation number seemed fishy. Anyhow I figured I should just call the number on the back of my card rather than one I was given just in case and as a matter of course. It turns out Chase never contacted me, so it was a scam. I think it was a pretty good one though.
How can someone forget where they put $1M? Baffling.
Gud, does the Cash for CLunkers run for at least a year from now, or does it end at the end of this year? Because if it keeps running, I'll go buy an old $500 clunker, keep it for a year, trade it in for an SUV, then trade the SUV in for a Honda Fit. /scheming
Never mind, Gud, I just went and looked it up for myself. The legislation hasn't passed yet, so I guess it won't run out real soon. And I already own a vehicle that qualifies! Yay.
I don't know for sure how long it will run, It sounds like it will difficult to scheme once it's all done. Really I think the about the only people who will benefit in any numbers will be current owners of drivable beater full size pickups.
Holy mother, my husband is actually updating the resume and applying for jobs. I'ma start lighting candles and shit.
Those who make waffles: Emeline LIVES on them in the mornings and I was thinking of making our own and freezing them so I could make them whole grain and good for me, too. Does anyone have a good whole-grain and fruit, good for freezing waffle recipe?
This morning's client meeting was the kind I like to have: short, sweet, and ALL good news that makes my (admittedly nightmarishly swamped) job easier.
