Today has been visitoriffic. First, my neighbor A is back from her travels and hadn't seen the inside of my house since moving day. So I invited her over and gave her the tour. Later, there was a knock at the door and it was T and her fiance, M, who I know from work and live a few blocks over. They helped with some of the painting and such and are getting to be friends. So anyway, they got the tour too.
Fun to have people in the house.
Holy Cherries Batman!
At the farmer's market I got 4lbs of cherries for $3. I see a lot of clafoutis in my future.
Oh, cherry season. Yum. Summer is so yummy.
My dinner was a salad with chicken, gorgonzola, and lots of sliced strawberries from the farmer's market. I agree with Amy.
I've realized that hitting the market at about 3pm is key, at least for fruit. I also got blackberries and 2 lbs strawberries. I'm going make strawberry syrup and clafoutis, but I need to come up with something else for the cherries.
We bought a four pound box of strawberries. We've made smoothies and had chocolate mousse. I am sort of out of strawberry ideas.
Emeline and I are going strawberry picking tomorrow night. Yay!
