Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think that that's the show's entire premise, shrift. Although I suppose an oil magnate could show up. I doubt they'll deal with the area's black residents.

I have the premiere on my TiVo waiting to be watched, but there's tennis and MSM that has my current attention.

My weekend will be spent studying ways to convince Jamaican men to stop spreading AIDS.

I think that that's the show's entire premise, shrift.

I was having a problem with it before we even got to the Hamptons, so I guess it's not going to be the show for me.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Socialism, American-Style

What American socialism looks like, in handy pie-chart form.

Perhaps useful for forwarding to people who complain about how American is socialist now....

Guess what I am doing, in my own home right this minute? LAUNDRY!!!!!

So awesome. I don't need quarters. I don't need a card. I don't have to share. And in 2 years, it'll be like no more quarters!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I know! I keep telling people this. Hugo Chavez is taking over banks and utilities. That's nationalizing. What we are doing is so not socialism. Socialism might be better than what we are doing, what with the owning and the no control, but still. We are a long way from socialism.

Also, mmm, pie.

Weekend:

Tonight: Weekend King -- a movie that was made in my neighborhood [link]

Then Saturday we pick up Andy - the cat. One of our neighbors passed away and her cat needs a home. All the rest of our plans will depend on the cat

Grrr. I think Tino cut my hair. Stupid hipster-er than thou Tino! With his condescending looks and not paying attention and not listening to me! Stupid me, with not going to my usual person just because I desperately needed a haircut and am never in town and she canceled on me twice because she has been out sick for four days! STUPID TINO CUTTING MY HAIR! GRRRR.

“Not dead yet!”

At least Tino didn't use a Flowbee.
