Can't drink, smoke, diddle my willy. Doesn't leave much to do other than watch you blokes stumble around playing Agatha Christie.

I've screwed myself. I booked Clio's tooth extraction for tomorrow, forgetting that it was the season finale of Movie Night. I have been desperately trying to not watch the last episodes of State of Play all week, even though I have the DVDs. Now I think I will miss movie night to tend to Clio. And I have to bring them the DVDs and I haven't seen the last three episodes! I am tempted to stay up very late and watch them.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Score!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh Kat, I'd find that frustrating as hell. My DH's cousins are getting, not outright resistance, but no support from their parents to pursue college. And both want to, yet they don't do it. Frustrating.

So, where are you thinking of moving?

Jarrett W is an excellent instructor, btw, Kat. One of my favourites, although he thinks I'm quite strange and a lesbian to boot.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Nilly, I hope things go well with your dissertation submission. I have friends doing PhDs - it seems crazily intense.

(Which is of course why I'm applying for one. Um.)

Ha! Seriously! I always think it's my spatial disability that gets me but really it's PHYSICS out to get me!

That. Next time I walk into a wall or the side of the bed, I'll be able to blame the universe. (Not that I don't usually.)

Our wings are not tired.

Lovely morning!

I went to bed at 7pm and slept until my usual 6am. Bliss! Then I awoke to watch a most impressive speech by our president, which I listened to while reading the type and post with Nilly last night. A good morning all round.

I understand the disappointment, Kat. It seems a popular thing these days. All the kids that go to school with Brendon have been encouraged to go to CC. A couple of his closest friends opted for 4 year. He is a junior, so many haven't decided yet. Brendon's guidance counselor suggested he graduate early by finishing up a few things over summer and go to CC in the fall. Her reasoning was that he has serious issues with the mindless busy work and frustrating bureaucracy of HS and she suspects he will do much better in a CC setting. I get her point, but she missed the part where he is massively immature.

And now for some more tea. I drink tea at home then gallons of coffee when I get to the office. If I drank coffee at home during the week my head would surely explode. Also, since I am all chatty, the local Publix whole wheat bagels are very tasty and satisfying.

eta: Good morning, Theodosia!

Swouncing

I'm so tired (typing with my eyes closed is by no means an easy thing to do, even when my brain is at least trying to take part in what I try to do), but I had to poke my head one more time before collapsing into sleep (after an all-nighter followed by teaching until now), because according to the Buffista Calendar, today is a double Buffista event: it's Dana's birthday, as well as (according to flea "If the Apocalypse Comes, Beep Me" Jun 4, 2005 3:46:56 pm PDT) Ellie's.

Happy birthday, Dana! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

Happy birthday, Ellie, you big beautiful girl! With lots of wishes for your mom, brother and all your family, as well!

Nilly! Blissful sleep wishes for you. My first smile of the day was the vision of you dancing to the sound of the printer.

Happy Birthday to the young and pretty Dana!

Happy Birthday to Ellie! I'm looking forward to mommy posting pretty girl birthday pics.
