I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

What are you having for dinner, b.org?

I had spaghetti with meat sauce.

How is that not terrorism?

They're discussing this on The Maddow Show right now.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I am going to roast a chicken and a squash. Am going out of town and trying to think of how to use the apples I have before they go?

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Bake them with the other stuff! How many apples are we talking?

Punishingly Intricate

lisah, going back, if you are worried, just start weighing him once a week for a little bit. That's what they have me doing with MK because I thought he was losing weight, but it was just the kitten growing.

I actually don't have a scale in the house now...although possibly there is one moving in in a couple of weeks. He definitely has lost weight, people have commented on it. He's smaller than Swifty now (although, Swifty has chubbed up in the last 6 months or so). I'm worried he's got the diabetes now, too. I just can't deal with figuring out insulin type and dosage and the $$$$ right now.

Of course, Frank has lost a lot of weight in the last year or so just from being an old guy.

Jeesh these pets.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

You know what Lorne quote:

It's like a song. Now, I can hold a note for a long time. - Actually, I can hold a note forever. - But eventually, that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

I am not sure what my neighbors are listening to, but it's like that noise, but with added bass.

Oh, yeah, that's what I was going to say! Yum! Or make some easy applesauce. I bet that would freeze well if you don't have time to eat it up soon.

lisah, I know the feeling. When's the next checkup?

So my parents sent me: a chile pepper floor mat, dish towel and potholder; a home repair book, a gorgeous wood doorstopper and assorted cedar pieces, an APO mug AND a couple of my grandparents' swedish horses. So sweet and the horses are on the mantle next to my grandparents' wedding picture.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

This anti-abortion approach is all about changing behavior by instilling fear. How is that not terrorism?

The same reason that sending anthrax to Patrick Leahy's office isn't terrorism.
