Wow, you've really mastered the power of positive giving-up.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

The lurkers support USAID in email??

Well, a USAID-supported initiative, anyway.

Art Crawl!!!

I naturally assumed she meant 4-legged.

Ha.

Well, I took pictures including one of my cat Ivan yelling at me through the window. I really hope that one comes out.

I...OK, I didn't "clean", but I put some stuff away so my apartment is slightly less bothersome to me. It is still dirty however, and could use a scrub and dust and vacuum and all that. I don't think I'll be doing that today, though I may break down and do the dishes before they hit Lutheranism. And return library books before I have to use my rolly suitcase in order to return the ones I have, since right now I keep checking them out and not returning the ones I already have.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I went to a museum! And took a fabulous walk in Central Park! And bought some lemonade from some young women apparently in a scavenger hunt (not really, but that's what they called it) for a group called Queers for Economic Justice. Good times.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I just talked to my Aunt Edna to let her know Emmett and I were coming to Georgia

Did you get my e-mail?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I went to a cookout, ate fruit, talked, left before any actual thing was cooked. Given that I couldn't have cheeseburgers anyway, it was still a nice time.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I normally don't find Zachary Quinto hot (although his Spock is). I'm not sure what this is, but it's disturbingly attractive.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

And not a little homoerotic

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

WHAT is that? I am a little grossed out by the droplet dripping of his nose.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Minor child dilemma...Matilda missed the sleep train right around her usual naptime, and has instead been puttering around and whining and being a general still-adorable but wearying fussbudget all afternoon. A few minutes ago she begged me for a bagel with cream cheese. I went into the kitchen to get it, and in the time it took me to cut the bagel in half and pop it in the toaster she had collapsed into utter zombified unconsciousness.

On the one hand, if she went down that hard, that fast, she really needs it. On the other, if I let her sleep more than half an hour, 45 minutes tops, it will completely fuck with bedtime and no one will get to sleep before midnight. Argh. Whyfore the fighting off the nap until just now, tiny obstreperous human, why?

Also, Ginger, Hec isn't ignoring you, he's off at one last Little League practice.
