Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

msbelle, I'd say chicken gyro - depends on what tempts you (and, if your weather's anything like ours - pouring down rain - whatever will keep you dryer).

I'm not fond of twizzles, although I do like black licorice. Had a craving last weekend and had some Good N' Plenty.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

um, yeah, red vines are gross and twizzlers are awesome.

CRAZY PEOPLE.

Other. Way. Around.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I knew that was coming.

We have factions here too.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How much research do you usually do before a job interview? Basically memorising the job posting is key, and your cover letter shouldn't be the generic (Buffista-written) one that's gone out to everyone on the web. Monster.com is suggesting I read up on the company that owns them too.

The Monster cover letter tips also includes other tips. A couple of which I will take. And I have some topic reading to do before the big game.

Meep.

ita, this is what the recruiter my DH is working with is telling him too. With the job I got a year ago, I lucked out as they were a vendor for DHL. With the DHL job, I got asked "how much do you know about DHL?" which at that point was almost zip... almost cost me the job, but I managed to stick around for 18 years (longer than the hiring manager at the time and 5 of his replacements)

“Not dead yet!”

Twizzlers are Teh Awesome, but only the original kind. The pull-apart ones taste like chemical ass.

Wrod.

And I have had Too. Much. Pizza.

Clue number 1 that you are bored: Google the phrase "I am Zim", then read the page you find on how to create a GURPs character based on Invader Zim. And be more than a little interested.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

My big boss was just talking about interview mistakes, and he said the biggest one was not knowing about the company, especially in this day and age with the Interwebs and all.

Well, that, and talking money in the first interview. (This from a group that asked me if the salary was a dealbreaker... before offering me the job!)
