definitely, teevee to the contrary. There are some really fabulous things going on out there. Next time I have some bandwidth to spare I'll see if I can't rustle up some video to explain.
I actually
have
seen some non-debbie dance since I was a kid in the eighties. Honest. I was being silly -- and expressing my lingering distaste for compulsive floor-flinging.
In acting school I studied movement with Marlene Pennison which made various dancer friends twitter. (not Twitter)
Timelies all!
Tomorrow G has to spend most of the day at work(yeah, the same thing that required him to get up at Stupid o' clock yesterday- Spring Board meetings). I'm planning to hit the library and the mall.
Sunday we're going to the Washington Folk Fest, and try not to buy lots of pretty shinies.
Bad things about Facebook: when it suggests I add as a friend my coworker who died about a year ago. It just makes my heart hurt. (She was my Facebook friend; I defriended her when she DIED, you Facebook idiots.)
(Note: I know this isn't Facebook's fault. But I still don;t like it.)
it's Xpress Spa in McCarren. It's a pretty full service chain. All airports should be required to have them.
The Raleigh-Durham airport has one of these. When I realized I'd be spending a ton of time at that airport this year, I got one of those buy-5-and-1-is-free things.
Barb, I hope your day improved.
Tomorrow I'm flying back to NC and making up with my cat. Sunday I'll do housework and probably continue making up with my cat.
Seriously first world problem: the thunderstorm outside my fancy-pants hotel has knocked out the satellite, so if I want to watch more NCIS reruns I'll have to stream them from Hulu. Oh the humanity.
Opening one of those in a NYC airport would be a goldmine I would think.
So I was supposed to be able to leave at 4. Instead, a crisis erupted that kept me there until nearly 5 and results in me having to be awake for the morning conference. Bah.
That is bullshit, sarameg! Also, I have water coming in the basement when it rains now. Unfair! I think the basement door just needs to be resealed or something.
So I'm finally getting around to picking out my 10 year award: [link]
That's gorgeous, sarameg.
ION, did you know that there is a material difference between twizzlers and red vines?
I didn't, but I have now been educated.
lisah, that sucks.
I'm waiting for it to stop raining and dry out to seal the last little bit that needs it. Barely a trickle, even in all this rain, nothing like before. (Also, before was also due to water coming in the door because there wasn't an extender on the back rainspout.) And it hasn't stopped raining.
I've got a guy coming to give me an estimate on replacing the basement door on Sunday, and an electrician coming Monday for an estimate.
I'm strongly encouraged not to go over my 40 hours, but shit keeps happening.
