That sounds awesome, Gud!

Indeed it was.

As a birthday gift, Emaryn let me read the beginning of the fantasy book she has begun writing. The main character is our beagle Fenris only he is a powerful warlock with a three room doghouse. I got to the point in the story were is preparing to go off and fight evil.

Yes. I do believe that is the case. I don't have the text in front of me, but I do think she actually wrote something like that.

And yes, it is awesome. I'm really hoping she keeps going.

Now tagless for your comfort.

We're going to see Up tonight and then bulk shopping for a cookout next weekend.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Going to Cleveland for a college roommate reunion (not a *college* reunion [puti!]; just the roommates). In fact, I should be leaving the house in 5 minutes.

However, I'm still in my nightie, haven't showered, and haven't packed. D'oh. Must rectify those right now.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

In-laws are in town so we're having dinner with them tonight, and then tomorrow is a date night. We'll probably see Up again because it is MADE OF AWESOME.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Julian, age 7, heard that the Spirit Mars rover was stuck, and offered his idea to fix it. Turns out that's a pretty good idea and one that JPL folks are already considering.

The rover drivers were so pleased by Julian's suggestion that they're going to send him a reward.

Tonight: No plans. Hopefully some writing. Maybe a very short bout of Oblivion to bask in the glory of the new monitor.

Saturday: Mow lawn. Cleaning. Maybe scrap and paint part of spaceship. Hopefully some writing.

Sunday: Birthday celebration at parent's house. Cleaning. Maybe some writing.

Not very exciting. Outside chance of going to Terminator Salvation with BIL, but I think that will probably be next weekend.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Damn, that is awesome. I hope that kid goes far in life.
