Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Vacation was sorely needed. I felt like I was going to crack for awhile there. It was nice to just take the dog to the park and chillax and get my head back in shape.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Glad you got to chillax! Chillaxin' is good.

Glad to see you again, Allyson!

Loki's pining at the doors. It seems to be a nightly thing; wailing at the front and french doors and trying to climb through the blinds.

Allyson! It's so nice to see your font!

Okay, so I have cheerleading tryouts tomorrow. My 30+ girls petered out to a core of 16-18 who have shown up each day. We have practices that start 90 minutes before school starts, which is a nice way to weed out contenders.

I'd originally intended on having a squad of 16, but now I'm thinking smaller? Like go with fewer who are better or should I just accept all 16 come what may?

I also have to fundraise $300 to send two girls to cheer camp because I can't choreograph and do cheers on my own. Then I have to help the girls fundraise $250 each for uniforms.

And, did I mention? I'm not getting paid for this? Because I can only have one stipend and I'm taking it for academic decathalon (for which I need to also get 10 copies some books, including the very brief history of the French Revolution and copies of Tale of Two Cities )and not cheer?

I kinda want to cry.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Will the fundraising be easier if you have fewer girls?

Facebook is all aflutter over this Texas bill. My favorite comment so far...

[Name] doesn't see what all of the fuss is about, obviously gay marriage and theatrical lighting design are THE two major threats to our very existence.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Has anyone ever ordered from Athleta? I'm looking at their catalog and I love it but I wonder how the fit is and if it's worth the price.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh Kat. That's a lot of unpaid work. And a lot of fundraising.

I have, Cash. I try to buy on sale. I like most of the stuff I've gotten.

Our wings are not tired.

sarameg, before you call in pesticides, I beg you to try diamateous earth. It's made of awesome and food-grade diamateous earth is fine for pets to be around. I use it liberally in my yard and around the foundation of my house and it keeps ALL exoskeleton out of your life.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, wow. I just clicked over to an American Masters on PBS about how the Chinese have been portrayed in Hollywood.
