Texas should secede already.
Huh. Ted Olson is filing a lawsuit challenging Prop 8 before the Supreme Court. Co-counsel is David Boies, who was on the other side of the podium in Bush v. Gore. Weirdness abounds today.
(Can you tell I'm catching up on my blog/news reading?)

Then aurelia won't have to worry about being unamerican.
Two questions:
1. Do you all rinse raw chicken before you cook it? Why or why not?
2. If you could choose between being 10 lbs thinner with a 28 day menstrual cycle vs. 10 lbs heavier and a 21 day cycle, which would you choose?
I'd like to try life with the 28 day cycle please. The question is how much hassle would I put up with for it.
28 days
It's never a good idea to read the comments, Dana. Although I am a big fan of reading the letters to the LAT. Today I was rewarded by reading a touching letter that happened to be written by one of my former students.

I'm confused, unless you are really too skinny, why would you choose the second option?
Why would I want a 21 day cycle? I am confused. I used to be 10 lbs thinner and have a 28 day cycle. I was happy. Now I am 10 lbs heavier and have a period once every 3 months, for about a day or so. I am even happier, even with the 10 extra pounds.
