Well, we did listen to songs like "Afternoon Delight" and "If you like Pina Coladas.." without ever realizing what they were about! Although they are more subtle than hip-hop.

I also did not remember that Penn and Teller were in the tricky video!

Most of the LL radio songs, no?
I don't think Ya Mama by the Pharcyde gets dirty, but it's funny as hell in an inappropriate manner.
That's pretty much all that jumps out at me, assuming he'd think stuff like Ladies First is lame.

Yeah, that's the thing. I figure a little kid can hear "I am getting so hot, I'm gonna take my clothes off" and not think about Doing It, but there's some pretty specific stuff out there now.
And somehow, I know have Margaritaville stuck in my head. Man, that song was confusing when I didn't know what Margaritas were. Very surreal, with lost shakers of salt...
Skee Lo!
it's really that he needs more exposer to this stuff. I have to get better about putting on music - and I need to make a catchy and clean playlist - cause kanye coming on or fugees dropping f-bombs, that is not on.
oh Sophia. I drove my mother crazy with that song. I LOVED it, and she is a non-drinker in a big way - and I would ask her a million question about it over and over because I could never quite get it.
Tennessee!
It's tragic how I don't even know if songs are dirty or not anymore. I'd really have to sit down and listen to every one before I could swear to anything. Except I apparently bought California Love and Children's Story off iTunes, because they both have the little "EXPLICIT" box next to them.
How about the original commercial rap song- Blondie's Rapture? I loved that song in second grade! Probably not very hip hoppish, though.

I did too! That and "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue" because I totally did not get the metaphor. I thought something was actually turning her eyes blue (and I wanted in on it, because I wanted my eyes to turn blue!)
What is weird is that my mom does not really remember any of these songs. Although they were on the radio, especially in the car, I think she wasn't paying any attention because she was too busy thinking of other things.
