Today was another eco-destruction day ( or as a alternative we can call it garden reclamation) . And today I did what I must do at least once a year. I burned my back and shoulders. and I thought I was doing so well this year.
One of you is gonna fall and die, and I'm not cleaning it up!

Garbage is out, dishes are done-ish, five bags of clothes, shoes and bedding were donated to Goodwill (two of those were clothes from seven years ago, back when I weighed 120 --I've finally given up returning to that anytime soon).

Today I have reviewed the changes for the GCS site makeover, emailed my agent (I know she's out of the office, that's fine), dyed some b&w clothes pink, serged the edges of a table runner to be used at GCS book signings, baked banana bread, fed the neighborhood crows when they landed on the back deck and YELLED at me, helped a friend hang up a pink display shelf in my library, put assorted toys on the pink display shelf, added a new buttonhole to a jacket, made black velvet -covered buttons, and did the usual stuff like making food. I guess I wasn't as much of a slacker as I thought.

for serious. I was at the movies on Friday and munching on popcorn and the kernels set off another coughing fit, except I had food in my mouth. What resulted was a rather apalling semblance of almost puking.

We have committed rib slaughter. I dry rubbed then did 'em low and slow in the oven, covered so they'd stay moist, then did a light glaze and finished them off in the broiler.
Bourbon baked beans and vinegary cole slaw and we had ourselves a fine meal.

joe missed our beach day due to a memorial day thing but I had a great day at the beach with friends. Although I am now burned. We had salmon, spaghetti with clam sauce, strawberry wpi agh salad and rosemary garlic bread for dinner. So yummy

We took Dylan on the Staten Island Ferry yesterday. He had a lot of fun!
