All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

My favourite chore? Cleaning the bathroom. It's finite and give me a sense of accomplishment.

I'll do your laundry and dishes if you'll clean my bathroom. And I'll do windows if you'll vacuum.

“Not dead yet!”

Laundry. Laundry can go away and DIE. Hate it with the heat of a thousand suns. I have no food issues, so I don't mind doing the dishes. The only time it ever bothered me was in college when I had roommates who would leave crap around for days on end--like the icktastic "Creamed chipped tuna" that the bitch left in the pan, on the stove. I threw it out, pan included, after about four days. She was furious because it was her "good pan." I said if it was so good, she wouldn't have cooked that shit in it to begin with, much less left it sitting there.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That was awesome, Tom!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Anyone want to buy a slightly used toddler?

Sorry! We're full up here. But mine were so wiped out by the cookout yesterday and the long drive home that they slept in until 8:30 without crawling into our bed once! It's a Memorial Day Miracle!

I'm trying to catch up on laundry and the kids are playing with new Lego blocks.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My finger is unclean. Also my video quality from Vimeo sucks. All halty.

I have spent today watching tennis (Marcus Daniel is dreamy!) and reading project management texts. Half yawn. I have a phone interview in fifteen. For a job no one has described in detail yet, so I may be totally wrong for it.

Oh, and trying to convince my sister that bleaching my hair wasn't the source of my migraines. I'm not sure how she missed the year with pain and dark hair. But she says maybe stuff seeped into my skull. Because that's how it works.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I am out of boxes again, so it seems a good quitting point for packing. But the kitchen sink is whispering my name and the garbage cans are all full again.

On a more fun note, I dug out the flower pot I'm going to match paint to and a beautiful carpet in Company C's catalogue that matches perfectly without being matchy-matchy. Hopefully it's still in stock.

if all goes well, I can get the key to the new place early this week and start painting while it's empty.

Compassionately intolerant

Vacuuming, however? Windows? Tub scrubbing? I'll surrender any of those quickly and with an exultant heart.

Once again, Beverly and I are likethis.

Vacuuming is my personal Nemishess (spoken like Hiro). I'm terrible with floors.

But, I'm a mad dish washer. I actually begin the wash up before I sit down to eat. Grandmother taught me that cleaning up while things are hot makes for a faster and more effective wash up. Soaking? Only when I'm avoidy.

Warm water, an obvious goal and total resolution. What's not to love.

I, too, am grateful for having a w/d tucked in the living space. It may be incongruous in my bathroom, but I'm not complaining. Mmmmm...warm, cuddly laundry.
