'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm considering what to do with my next CSS resume... so many fun possibilities. And sitting out in the garden, working on learning more JavaScript. And going to Whole Foods, or Borders or both.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I am wishing I had some kind of outside aspect to my apartment, because I don't feel like going anywhere, but it's gorgeous out!

I am the opposite of Jesse. I finally got my deck set up the other day but now it's back to being cold and gray outside again. This has been the crappiest spring I can remember and I am so fucking over it.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm working on a freelance project. I was going to do it in pieces over the long weekend and completely failed to do so.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

We are on the bus back to nyc. We hit 3 museums yesterday before seeing Night at the Museum in IMAX. I think mac might be over his sick (so, probably not h1n1). Nice weekend, I need to see these friends more often.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I'm also not hearing right how they call, say, "thirty all." It sounds like "trente un." I love how they say "egalité" for deuce. It makes the stakes seem so much more noble. I can't not also hear "liberté" and "fraternité" each time.

It's been a long time since I watched Roland Garros, but I think it's officially "trente à", as in "trente à trente", although most people would say "trente partout".

I was going to do it in pieces over the long weekend, and completely failed to do so.

Yeah, I was supposed to work much of the weekend and am now scrambling to finish things for meetings tomorrow.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Glad to hear Perkins is home safe and recuperating. Hope Sophie can come back home shortly, too.

I slept in on my day off. I've been trying to for eons but something always happens. Sunday I thought I'd slept till eleven and was happy, but it turns out the SO had woken up in the middle of the night and sleepily reset the clock instead of the alarm, so it was only eight, which was not so awesome since I'd gone to sleep at about three. I felt robbed. I'd felt rested until I discovered my extra time.

I also intend to do a lot of housework, but that will depend on if I actually stop watching television (free Choice Xtra preview on Directv this week, so I'm watching Science channel and Planet Green).

Right now I am watching a "How It's Made" on escalators in an attempt to defang my escalator phobia, but it's not working. So far I've learned that escalators are forged in the fires of hell by industrial robots. They did not show where they put in the monster that causes the green lights underneath the treads, but then they wouldn't, would they? Anyway, probably the monster gets in during the site installation.

hip deep in pie

I am at work, having had my long weekend last weekend. I have a headache. My new to me work computer has only one printer linked to it, and it's two floors down. People are asking me difficult questions for a Monday. Tino is working my last nerve.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I'm still tossing clothes into piles. One to wear this week, one to hang up immediately at the new place, one of winter clothes that still fit, one of sizes just a titch too small that I hope to fit back into soon, one to give away because they're hopelessly too small, and one that's just trash (mostly socks). I hope I remember which one is which.

My new to me work computer has only one printer linked to it, and it's two floors down

That is evil.

I'm oddly charmed by Alexis Denisof in the George Harrison video.

adorable!!

So far my plans have consisted of: waking up ridiculous early, realizing it's ridiculous early, going back to sleep for several more hours.

Now, I'm not sure what to do. I have a massage appointment (YAY!) at 3pm, and I am tempted to go back to the folklife festival downtown, but don't feel like getting my act in gear to go *before*, but am afraid if I try to go *after*, it'll be all people pulling up stakes and last dregs and whatnot (even though there's plenty scheduled at the end).

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Anyone want to buy a slightly used toddler?

No. Oh, hell no. But 5:15 is 15 minutes more than I usually get. So maybe a swap?

I have to do dishes, then getting my eyebrows done, then a banquet this evening.

Ugh.
