It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Lo! I have wielded the String Trimmer of Destruction, and the grass is a-mown with my wrath!

Today, I:

  • went to the farmers' market
  • bought a bunch of shit at Home Depot
  • hung up temporary paper "blinds" in the west bedrooms (they were cheap, and do make a difference)
  • ripped possibly 78 years worth of caulk out of my tub
  • ate 3 pieces of cantelope
  • wrangled the evil caulk rope and bent it to my will. With a lot of swearing.
  • recaulked my tub
  • went to Target
  • planted 3 annuals and discovered neighbor A wasn't kidding when she said it was clay
  • met her housesitter & friend who lives a few blocks over
  • got bitten by 6 mosquitos
  • chatted with neighbor B and got to see his basement (he's fixing it up as an apartment) OMGclawfoottub!
  • hosed off the porch. I need a spray nozzle. Tomorrow!
  • broke down and taped up garbage bags to the shower because omfg, I needed one
  • made a salad for dinner

Which I am about to eat.

I am tired.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I can't figure out if I should really be worried about Perkins the cat or not. He is clearly very mad at me and letting me know it, but he also hasn't eaten much of anything since yesterday morning, and he's been puking.

Is the You Cat drinking water at least?

A little bit, yes, but out of the guest bathroom faucet, which I worry is not healthy in and of itself.

Offer him whatever is his kitty crack food? Is he a bit of puker anyway?

When I got Mister Kitty, Devi was pretty much a constant yowler and in kill-everything-without-discrimination mode for a couple of days. I couldn't get near her.

ALL of my cats now drink out of the TOILET. (Prior to moving here, just Devi did. Now all 3 despite having plenty of water dishes.) Faucet is much better.

Cats love running water, mine and my family's have always meowed at the bathroom and kitchen sinks and the dripping bathtub faucet.

If still no eating in the next day or so, I'd consider the vet.

I tried the cat treats. I could try the kitten chow I guess. He is a puker, but not normally like this.

I think I will go buy more food crack tomorrow morning, and if he still won't eat, take him to the emergency vet on Monday.
