The Rays brought up a couple of players from Triple-A Durham on Friday, and, in turn, placed one of their starters and their closer on the 15-day disabled list.
Called up from the Durham Bulls were infielder Reid Brignac and journeyman reliever Dale Thayer.
To fill the open spot in the rotation on Monday, the Rays are expected to call up left-hander David Price
