Now tagless for your comfort.

My twin sister just got a kick ass job offer from another company and is finally about to get paid what she's worth. AND my mom went home from the hospital this morning.

I declare today a win.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My lunch plans got sunk, although we did get to hang out for a quick second. I have a potential phone job interview, but she had to take another call.

I deem today as having potential but not yet a win.

Because books.

I went to the zoo with Sara's kindergarten class, saw lions, and penguins, and bears (and naked mole rats and poison blue frogs and other stuff). It was sunny and clear, in the 80s, and I have sangria makings here at home. Also, cupcakes.

Yeah, today's pretty good.

Lady GaGa. Some of her costumes make it pretty clear to me that she is not a drag queen. (Except maybe in spirit.) Biologically definitely a woman, and absolutely no doubt she is a mammal.

Also, as proof I have no musical taste, I kind of like "Poker Face". I include it in one of my workout mixes. Maybe there are some thing one should not confess publicly.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

My cat just ran away to my downstairs neighbors apartment! The neighbor had to get her, because she just runs from me because I give her the horrible medicine. I think she hates me. I moved toward her just now, and she hid behind the papasan chair.

Sophia, she'll get over it. Eventually. Remember: walnut brains.

My friend R has had similar "reality isn't appearances" with her stepson who they finally got custody of when he was 8 or 9. It took a long time to get through her boss's head that certain appointments were non-negotiable and "no personal calls" isn't an option when your kid is spiralling and on the verge of being committed. They had to explicitly explain to teachers that he absolutely could not be allowed to get away with certain behaviors that do seem normal in other kids because they were part of something much larger and more destructive.

Also? When I got home from work, I scraped all the grout/caulk from around the base of the tub and redid it. I have to wait a couple of days to seal it with caulk, but I feel accomplished.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Excellent!
