Punishingly Intricate

I don't understand why people are mad at Lady Gaga

I haven't heard her yet. I just know about the insane dressing thing and I LOVE IT!

“Not dead yet!”

I'm not mad at her. She just rubs me the wrong way and apart from some catchy hooks, doesn't do much for me musically.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Huh. Lady Gaga does look like a drag queen. Are we sure she isn't?

I don't understand why people are mad at Lady Gaga

That song is appalling, but it doesn't make me *mad* at her. Just sad *for* her. Well, not really. Just annoyed. (I know bon wasn't saying that *I* was mad at her -- in fact, the hell? *Who* is mad at Lady Gaga?)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Whenever I see the name "Lady Gaga," I get earwormed with the Bowie song "Lady Stardust," except with Gaga substituted in....

I can hate her for that, right?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I get Lady-O Gaga to the tune of Radio Gaga.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

MY FAMILY NEEDS SOME FUCKING WEB MANNERS

Chain letters? Suck. "Warnings"? Suck. Disturbingly racist/classist/sexist "jokes"? Suck. Prayer chains, sixty seven sparkly drawings with couplets, "inspirational" stories? Suck. Suck. Suck.

But when you send everyone in your address book a succession of emails. And the first is a series of freakishly adorable koalas. If the second is LIONS EATING A MAN ALIVE you really should fucking warn me.

Really.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

OK, I don't know why people are rubbed the wrong way by her or would prefer to call her "Lady Gag" or whatever. It sounds like "get offa my lawn"ism even though her sound and style isn't too different from pretty much all dance music artists over the last thirty years.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Oh, Trudy, that whitefont is just disturbing!

I've got some good music here. It's a video of "Stand By Me" sung by street musicians from around the world, and the person who mixed the track flew everywhere and had each performer add their instrument/singing onto the already existing base track. It's an awesome version of the song, and I love the cooperative angle on the recording.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

All I know about Lady Gaga is what shows up on Go Fug Yourself. (I don't tend to listen to top 40 radio)
