I've done park-sleep-fly and to me it is totally worth it. However, I do not have kids and I love hotels. So.
But it was really much much easier than schlepping to the airport, which in my case was three hours away, in the wee smas.

That sounds right to me, and I've never even done it! Although somewhat relatedly, I'm considering spending an extra night in Vegas after I'm there for a long weekend with friends, because that would mean I could use FF miles for the ticket. Plus: hotel! (We're staying in a house for the weekend.)
