Man. I've been shredded by allergies all week, in addition to shorting myself of about 1-2 hours of sleep per night. After work today, I went to the gym and lifted weights, came home with a headache that wanted to become a migraine, took drugs, laid down at 7:30, and just woke up at 12:30. I'm eating a bowl of cereal and going back to bed.
At least a couple of times a summer, I'd get stuck somewhere with no shade and have to spend a day or so lying in a dark room wearing a soft t-shirt.
My whole childhood (defined as "the entire time I lived with my mom, including college"), I would get sunburned at least once a summer due to carelessness, and my mom would forbid me to go in the sun for 2 weeks. That ban usually lasted about 2 days.
Last summer, when we went to the beach for a week, even though I used sunblock in mass quantities, I still ended up with sun poisoning on my chest and arms by the end of the week. I wasn't sunburned, though; I think it was just 6 days of concentrated sun exposure that made my melanin-deprived skin freak out.
In less whiny news, I managed to score a pair of earrings because Steph mentioned that she'd managed to score a pendant from the seller: [link]
Oooh, I love those! I was amazed that the pendant I bought was still unsold, because I bought it on the last day of the sale. I figured that was a sign from the universe that I should buy it.
Okay. Back to bed now.
