Nora, a non-foody thing I've enjoyed in New Orleans is going to the French Market and looking through all the little flea market-style book and curio dealers. Also, just strolling around Jackson Square to see the sidewalk artists and street performers.

Btw, lisah, before our family packed socializing last weekend, JZ asked her Dad to describe her brother's new girlfriend.
He was extremely vague but we had some sort of impression that she might be a bit like you physically. As it turns out - she was! And very cute. And very cool. It seemed wildly improbable that JZ's bro would find somebody with positive lisah-esque attributes but he did and we're pleased.
Not that she impinges on your specific and unique awesomeness. Just a bit of physical resemblance and warmth, intelligence and good cheer. And a tat.
