I don't think they are that effective as the only vacuum cleaner in the house. But maybe it would be if you don't have 2 cats and a dog and lots of long hair and an old house. I've been thinking about getting a reconditioned Dyson actually. I haven't been able to find bags for my old, kinda shitty, vacuum cleaner recently and I have a boyfriend with allergies moving in! I haven't quite been able to pull the trigger on the purchase yet.

Also, if your rugs have tassles/fringe, it'll be an issue.
I'm gonna start using mine again soon , but it is really more a maintenance clean than a regular clean. Gets the kitty litter and the un-occasional dust rhino.

My current vacuums are less than ideal for the surfaces I have now. My broom vac kinda hates the old wood floors. My brush vac is doing better on those floors but it's ability to get cathair out of the carpet is declining. It's annoying.

I have no pets, which is partly why I hate the idea of spending so much on a vacuum that's not really that necessary. I live in a studio with 3 carpets, and 2 are pretty small. I could easily shake out the two smaller ones. I may just get a dustbuster.

oh, yeah, you could get by with a dustbuster and a broom (is jealous). The roomba also freaks out my elderly dog so I tend not to use it as much as I should.

I am getting very tired of the articles on pot legalization. They are stupid. No you will not be smoking it at the local bar. Even if they decide to legalizes it at the very least it will be regulated like alcohol and tobbaco. But my guess, they will have to study it long before it is truely legal.
( I just don't need to read the stupid comments after the stupid headlines).
