Spike: I'm not a monster. Xander: Yes! You are a monster. Vampires are monsters! They make monster movies about them! Spike: Well, yeah. Got me there.

Ximena is actually a bona fide hispanic name.

It's fascinating, every time I post the name lists for Casper's classmates, someone goes "X name? WTF?" and it's always a real Latino name.

Oh, David, we would love to see you and Emmett! I didn't know you had an Aunt Edna in town. Here's the standard Athens Music Scene tour, I am told: [link]

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I didn't know you had an Aunt Edna in town.

Not in Athens proper but somewhere in the vicinity. My grandfather's farm was close to Athens, and my Mom was the only one to move more than ten miles away.

Now tagless for your comfort.

My niece named her daughter Jazlyn. No good way around it.

I'm working with a customer named Roni. I'm calling her "rice a roni" in my head, but I'm sure it's pronounced Ronnie. Which is not the way it's spelled.

SYTYCD (which I saw a promo for this week YAY!)

Ooooh! Yay!! Can't wait!!

That's one show where I will even sometimes watch the tryouts, because they do tend to in addition to the painful things (which I will fast forward through) sometimes have really awesome people who are just not right for the show.

And the Vegas-or-wherever tryouts are SO COOL.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm working with a customer named Roni. I'm calling her "rice a roni" in my head, but I'm sure it's pronounced Ronnie. Which is not the way it's spelled.

If she's young enough, she could be named after the Bobby Brown song.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Adrien Brody's Blue Hair: Love It Or Leave It? (POLL)

I voted "love it". "Leave it" is winning.

Brody tickles my Kinsey, with or without blue hair.

I'm old enough to say "What Bobby Brown song?"

Again, naming kids after pop culture stuff runs the risk of the rest of the world having my reaction, and people like me then feel old and cranky and mutter "Stupid kids, get offa my lawn."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Brody tickles my Kinsey, with or without blue hair.

He tickles my nose hairs. He should wash, and run a comb through his hair after he's washed that.

Maybe Roni's a Veronica?
