Jesse, do have any interest in trying to sell the shoes at a flea market table tomorrow? I have some kid's shoes I am selling for $1/pair.
Nah -- less hassle to just donate them.
I'm having KFC for lunch.
Corn on the cob is nummy!
We still use our VCR pretty often because I didn't throw away Emmett's tapes and now Matilda is watching them. I used to buy them used at Amoeba, which is why we have the non-Disney dubbed version of Totoro (distributed by Troma!).
We have the entire Farscape run on VHS too because (a) the DVDs were way overpriced and (b) they did a marathon of the entire run.
Also, I still make compilation tapes of music and stuff off the Tivo. That's how I made Jilli's Goth Videos two hour tape. I've also got a Mod Scenes collection of clips (mixing videos of the Jam and Madness with movie clips from the mid-sixties that are uber-mod). My favorite mix is a collection of music scenes I like from movies which starts with the famous (and much copied) dance scene in Band of Outsiders (Godard, early sixties), and includes bits from Purple Rain and animation songs from Yo Gabba Gabba and beatnik dance club scenes (Bell, Book and Candle; Funny Face, et al.) and stuff like that. It's the best eye candy.

The cafe I'm in is playing the Beach Boys now so I'm inoculated by "Catch a Wave."
Top Baby Names of 2008 are out:
Ha! Matilda has cracked the top 1000 for the first time since 1964, at #829. We're totally bleeding edge!
For the past two days, I've been earwormed with the opening credit music from Ladyhawke, which I recorded off my DVR on Wednesday night. I think being earwormed with instrumental music is slightly better than lyrics, but only if you know more than a few bars.

Watch out for the Oprah-riots, tommy.
Anybody else tempted to get a Verizon mifi?
