Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Kat - I hope your sister's recovery goes well. And your dad too, yikes.

Tommy - you're not a bad person. and it might help to tell yourself that nothing is going to happen today with regard to your housing situation. one day at a time.

All of this.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Found cat! Shot the antibiotic in her mouth. Now she hates me again....

You missed a step -- the part where you give treats to her after giving her the antibiotic.

Apparently this guy thinks the federal government is staffed by panicky baboons.

I won't say there aren't any....

Those census stats are really interesting, flea! I'm surprised the average age of first-time motherhood has gone down, and really surprised it's still as young as 25! But that's because I live in UMC NYC.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Lately, it seems that every time I feel like I'm going to cry, I'm in a public place, like on a train or at work or something.

I cry in the car.

Tommy, bedbugs by their evil selves would have made me crazy. This is all very stressful. Bedbugs are not your fault. Having too much stuff doesn't make you a bad person. (It better not, says the Queen of Too Much Stuff.) I suspect this is preemptive on their part, in case you should tell potential tenants or the media or set up www.thisapartmenthasbedbugs.com. I wish I could take you out for a pitcher.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Barb, to make you feel better--I sent my mother flowers for Mothers Day, which got there yesterday.

I have not heard anything. My sister however was kind enough to send me the entire email exchange she had with my mother. Mom sent one email thanking her for the flowers. My sister said "not from me". Mom said "oh yeah, there is a card--they are from [perkins]. I just assumed it was you. I guess that explains why they are so early."

Now tagless for your comfort.

Dude. My mom is nuts but at least she's not rude.

Tommy, sorry you're dealing with this stress.

Good thing Amazon delivered my copy of New Moon in time for me to read on my flight this weekend.

Yikes to all the family medical adventures, Kat!

So I did something really stupid at work and the expected bad did NOT happen and now I'm really confused. An assumption we've been making for the past 9 months, based on behavior we really did see, appears to be wrong.

I'm confused.

Coding and Sleeping

I sure hope your current situation resolves itself in the best way possible.

Having too much stuff doesn't make you a bad person.

So true. We have too much stuff too. I need to find more stuff to get rid of this weekend.

Though it hasn't happened in a long time, when I'm alone the house for a day I always throw out a lot of stuff that I know she doesn't really want me to throw out, but that will never be noticed. Nobody tell.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

the SW is still going to be more helpful than the guy who wanted you to break open your 401K....

Word. It's just that between that and the doctor that wants me to get a porta-cath, I feel quite the invalid. But my head has been doing better! I get much longer clear breaks. It's not down to a migraine every other day, but the abortive meds work well enough, which is new. But the fact that they have a social worker that noticed me speaks well about them, I guess.

tommy, you are in no way (and especially not this way) a bad person. Do you think you could make yourself cry with the right movie/TV/book? Maybe you just need a good kickstart for your catharsis.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Perkins, I do not understand your mom. Knowing they are from you explains why they are early? Is early a bad thing? She doesn't think she should now thank you?

families are weird y'all.
