Wash: I didn't think you were one for rituals and such. Mal: I'm not, but it'll keep the others busy for a while. No reason to concern them with what's to be done.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Those salad tongs are too cute! Too bad I already have 4 sets of salad tongs I almost never use.

I do not see how that cat is comfortable at all.

It's a kitten. They sleep wherever and however. The late Thimble, as a kitten, used to fall asleep half hanging off the wood stove. She fell off onto the bricks several times, bouncing off a ledge by the doors (only 3 feet or so) and didn't wake up until later.

I wonder if it would be inappropriate to buy my mother Strong Poison and The Smart Bitches' Guide to Romance Novels for Mother's Day.

Happy Kodomo no Hi! We put a koi up for Noah and another for Grace a few nights ago. We even measured Noah's height on the chart.

For dinner: Pizza with roasted asparagus and pepperoni (herb crust!) and an iced tea.

Life is GOOOOOOOOOOD.

It's Children's Day in Japan. In the words of wikipedia.

It is a day set aside to respect children's personalities and to celebrate their happiness. It was designated a National holiday by the Japanese government in 1948.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I am so frickin' tired, I can't handle the thought of mother's day.

Eh, might as well do a repeat of last year. Bought a ham for the MiL and made brunch.

Oh shit. I totally fucked up Komodo no Hi. I've been a grumpy mom all day. I'd bet good money they will be happier tomorrow than they were today.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?
