Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ha! I do not have a secret baby no one knows about.

...or do I?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Hooray! Does she have a nursing pillow? I only used mine for a few months, but it was an absolute lifesaver in terms of keeping weight off the incision site while I was healing.

She does not. I shall look into this.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

so people are being let go today. a couple from another dept were on Fri, and a couple from our dept today - does not make for a relaxed environment.

More soccer games over the weekend.

Leif's team won like they always do, the other team fared better than most though. Leif had a good game and scored at least a couple of goals, but his team scores so much it's hard to keep track.

Emaryn's all girl team for the first time played another all girl team. Their opponent was the Princesses who were outfitted in bright pink. Pirates vs. Princesses. It was a hard fought game, but Emaryn's team won 5-2. Emaryn had a great game with 2 goals and, more impressive in a way, a perfect pass to a teammate who then scored a goal.

Incidentally, I love this city. Check this out:

My son will have an echidna on his birth certificate.

“Not dead yet!”

That is so wicked cool, billytea!

That is an impressive birth certificate. The birth certificates for my kids look like my vehicle titles.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

David, I had exactly that sort of calf strain about two years ago now -- I was stepping down off a trolley step with no more or less vigor than my usual and shazam!

If it had happened when I stumbled or fell, it would have been more understandable -- this was a totally regular action, one which I did at least twice a weekday for years on end!

Exactly. "How did you hurt your leg?" "Uh, I was walking."

My conclusion: getting old SUCKS.

I'm inelastic and broken down. Still hurts exactly the same this morning. Can't put any weight on my left leg.

Ack, I hope your leg starts feeling better.

It really is. I declare this an auspicious start to life.
