Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I saw somewhere else this weekend that it wouldn't be announced until after the upfronts tomorrow. But I am keeping my fingers crossed for Chuck!!

I have listed two pairs of shoes on eBay. I just hope I end up making money, because I got peer-pressured (via looking at other listings) into offering free shipping.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Went to my first school-related silent auction. I suspect it won't be my last. A bit nutty, esp the live auction part, but much more casual and low key than I was expecting. Def a cultural moment.

We won a 3 month YMCA membership for $60, and a commissioned portrait of the kids for $40. No one was bidding on it because he didn't send any examples of his work.

And now I feel as though I need to list things too.

Peer pressure is such a bitch.

I will (maybe). After I go drop off the sheets and towels, and go buy catfood.

Yeah, the listing was more of an attempt to be useful without actually leaving the house....

I totally get that. Which is why I may not do it until next weekend.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

So on the way home from the pound, two different people tried very hard to kill me.

First one, I was turning left on a left hand turn arrow, and happened to think, "hey, that car approaching the stop light from the left doesn't look like he is actually going to stop, even though he has the red light. Maybe I should not turn quite yet." The car behind me honked at me, as the guy on the left blew through the intersection.

But then it turns out I only thought it was scary. What's really scary? Being in the right lane, about 10 or 15 feet from an intersection and having someone who is in the center lane and maybe 5 or 10 feet from the intersection decide he is going to turn right at the intersection.

I still can't believe I managed to stop in time, and the only reason I did is he actually saw me after he started turning and swerved so he was going straight instead of turning.

I am still shaking, and I think I may never leave the house again.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Dammit. I found out that someone I know from the filk community died yesterday. He was recovering from surgery following an accident.
