this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I love the idea that Ikea is like a "corn maze with end tables."

Yes, but "corn" is spelled with a K and an umlaut.

(I love Basic Instructions. I kind of want a t-shirt with the "You will learn" big stick logo.)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Our game got rained out. Why isn't the new Harry Potter movie out yet, dammit! That'd be a good way to spend a rainy Sunday.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hmm...Perkins has me wondering if I should try to sell any of the stuff I'm planning to give away.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I thought about ebaying stuff. Then I had to go lie down from sheer inertia. And then I dumpedam dumping everything into trash bags and boxes, told friends and neighbors to come look and grab anything they wanted, and took am taking the rest to the women's shelter and Goodwill. And speeding off without a tax receipt.

If you don't easily succumb to overwhelm, selling is always an option. Targeted giving or donation is another way to go: Steiff bears to a fellow collector, antique and vintage dolls to a friend who collects dolls, surplus tarot to the local shop for consigment or giveaway.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

One of the things on my to do list today is to gather up old sheets and towels and actually take them to the pound. I am hoping that knowing I am giving them to the pound will make me more brutal in what I gather up, but we shall see.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I just watched the season finale of Chuck. Do we have any official word on whether or not it is cancelled? 'Cause I'd really love to see more of new, improved, kung-fu Chuck.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think it is still on the bubble.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Nikki Finke says Chuck's been renewed.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That's more a probably than a definite, but I hope she is right.

hip deep in pie

I saw a post on Whedonesque yesterday that some Nikki Finke posted that it was renewed on her blog. But nothing official.

Jesse, do you want new boots?

I think I need to get my vision checked. I read "boots" as "boobs".
