Oh, I found the remotes early on. Cleverly hidden in the box with the dvd player and digital antenna labelled "DVD/ANTENNA/REMOTES" in bright red. Only took me 3 hours.
I'm sure I used them as packing material, but for what? I found my spare sheets in the box of art. Actually, msbelle probably knows. eta: she probably packed them. I'll ask her when she gets here.
I got two of these: [link] tonight (stacked on top of each other.) They are put together and holding what towels I can find nicely and smell good.
Been looking at kitchen carts: [link] I need something < 30 inches wide and < 32 long.
I give up. Michael Vick in talks to become PETA spokesman. [link]
Coilhouse spotlighted this banking advertisement in Argentina which features a transgendered woman.
Got me a little choked up. I wonder if it's the restraint or the kindness or what, but it's very moving.
DH is going to build a rolling kitchen island -- that one in th e picture -- while not quite the size is the closest I've seen to what I am talking about -- Thanks .
We're at Wicked and it occurred to me that John Barrowman could so totally own the role of Fiyero.
I think I am going to have to give up on all my ziploc bags. Can't find them anywhere and I didn't pack them. If anyone did, it was the movers and I think I unpacked those already. I think. Otherwise, well, there are bad thoughts and not towards the movers (and I'll feel guilty for having them when I find the boxes.)
This could make sense though:
We want him to discourage people from taking part in dog-fighting. I can do it until I'm blue in the face and it might not convince anybody. Michael Vick sure can.
And PETA is saying they'll be sort of hardass about it:
Before doing a deal, however, PETA wants Mr. Vick to undergo a psychological evaluation for antisocial personality disorder. "We're suspicious this may come from a place of simply wanting to repair his public image, rather than genuine remorse," Mr. Shannon said. "He was dishonest all the way up the line until he finally had to admit to what he did, which is a hallmark of [antisocial personality disorder]. If he can't tell the difference between right and wrong, we can't get in bed with this guy. At this point, he hasn't chosen to submit to an evaluation. We hope the NFL will require that evaluation as a precondition of reinstatement. The bottom line is: Everybody knows he's going to apologize, go on Oprah and Larry King and say he did wrong, that he learned his lesson. But there's no reason for anybody to take his word for that based on the pattern of dishonesty and the severity of cruelty he took part in."
PETA is plenty aggrivating, but if they can pull this off it could be a good thing.
I can't believe that's actually a bank ad. I mean, I believe it, I just think it's great.
The only way I'd ever believe Vick was truly sorry for what he'd done (and NOT just sorry he got caught) was if he did the PETA ad even after he was barred from being reinstated.
