Wow. That's intriguing.

I'd love to have a Wii but realistically I doubt I'd actually use it.
I'd like a Wii mostly for the kids. I'm also being influenced by the weather, it's been raining so much that it's hard for them to get outside. Our yard has had standing water for most of the past month.

He was really worried about a challenge in the Republican primary. I think he'd have a much better chance at defeating his Republican challenger in the general election rather than the primary.
That's great about Specter. It's past time for social moderates to leave the Republican party...
They are saying he is polling 30% in the primary against the challenger at 51%. Since it is closed primary, it is only Repub, and the party has had about 200K member switch out in the last election cycle in order to vote in the Obama/Hillary battle and they haven't come back.
In the general, he cruises to victory versus any Dem or Repub that you care to name.
Basically, he is saying his party has decided to leave him over the stimulus bill, and he wants to continue to serve the people of PA, so sorry, bye-bye.
He does say he isn't changing his mind on card check, so make no assumption that he will be always the magic 60th vote for the Dems in the Senate. But let's see how his old friends treat him and see what happens in a couple of months.

Hmmm. Given that the Republican Party is still shedding moderates but holding on to their extreme base, it looks like we're gonna be seeing the phenomena of Republicans nominating people so far to the right they won't be able to win general elections.
Sucks to be them.
Of course, I imagine the moderate/conservative (Southern) Democrats who were switching parties ten and twenty years ago felt the same way about the Dems -- why was the party pandering to the left?
This was mentioned on last night's Colbert Report--Man thought to have tumor in lung actually had a fir tree!
I don't think I believe the tree growing in the lung story. The needles in that picture look much more like those from a full-grown tree than from one just starting to grow, and it doesn't look like there are roots, and those needles are green, which I'm nearly certain can't happen without sunlight.
