I'd like to have a Wii, but I don't think I could talk my wife into one.
My Comcast dvr has 80 hours of space available. Total. Which sucked when I had all ten hours of the miniseries of Planet Earth in HD on it--that sucked up more than 40 percent of space.
See if you can get her to try one at a friends' house or something. I wouldn't have bought one, because every video game I've ever tried has left me either frustrated or bored or both. But just a couple minutes with the Wii and I was "gotta get me one of those!"
I remember when I bought my first Zip drive.
I bought my first cell phone just prior to going to the very first F2F (2002), because I figured being out of town -- as well as coordinating/wrangling dozens of Buffistas -- would be a good reason to have a cell phone.
Yeah, the "80 hour" DVRs are more like 20 if you're recording HD. We prune our scheduled recordings way back when we go on vacation. (Which is a GIANT PITA now that we're on the craptastic Cablevision DVR. I miss my Tivo THIIIIIIIIIIIIS MUUUUUUUUUUCH.)
I think when we are ready to get rid of the PS2, we will get a Wii, but that is at least a couple of years away, so who knows what will be out then.
I bought myself hyacinths yesterday and have them on my desk. The smell is making me so happy. I'd like to lie down and just smell that.

How much do we think the ATK test kitchen spends annually on food? Trying to win a free CI subscription on Twitter.
Wow, even taking into consideration that they buy in bulk, they do so many variations on their recipes, plus the equipment and tasting sections, that it has to be really up there--maybe $400,000?
