All right, no one's killing folk today, on account of our very tight schedule.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Does anyone have an easy peasy hummus reciepe? Foolproof for the idiot I can be?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It's likely that the relatively high death toll in Mexico was because there's less accessible medical care/people are poorer, which means the initially affected didn't get to the see medical personnel until they were on death's door. Whereas now that people know what to look out for, and patients are getting early intervention and support, it should be much more survivable than the initial presentation.

Still not a day at the beach, but not the DOOMDOOMDOOM that some are making out.

Aims, I usually just tweak the recipe on the back of the tahini jar, but the basic ingredients list is:

Canned chick peas (drained & rinsed), tahini, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, lemon juice. Spin 'em in the food processor until smooth, then taste & adjust seasonings.

Now tagless for your comfort.

hand sanitizers. most of them are alcohol based. Which drys my hands. and cause cracks , where germs can get in....

The doctor who was on the radio this morning said he prefers Purell because it has moisturizer in it, so your hands don't get as dried out.

I like Jessica's recipe but I never have tahini on hand. You can definitely make it without it, though.

Swine flu is the new SARS.

At least now we have tiny kid sized surgical masks the kids got at the health & safety fair in case of an epidemic.

A friend of mine is leaving for Mexico for vacation tomorrow. Between the drug wars and the swine flu, she may be stressing.
