Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Nerves in general. We've never had a pet, claiming that we were too lazy for the responsibility. This guy is a dog at the shelter we volunteer at. He came in without any socialization, and he's still scared of new people, but he knows us now, and he's very sweet with people he trusts.

We'd have to keep working with him to make him more confident. But he's house-trained, affectionate, and we're hoping he wouldn't eat the sofa.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Fun, Dana! It seems like volunteering at the shelter would be the best way to prepare for a pet of your own.

I finally made it to Target, where I pulled all (!) of the expired claratin off the shelf and had no trouble exchanging the one I bought. And I remembered to get the can of air I forgot yesterday, which I needed to show ID to buy! What is the world coming to, I ask you?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Dana, he sounds like a sweetie, and you sound like you're well-prepared for what you're taking on. So YAY DOGGIE!!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but only people over 18 can use air. In fact, can you wait here for a moment? I see some adolescents in aisle 5 who are *clearly* engaged in Unauthorized Breathing."

The can of air says it "contains a bitterant to help discourage inhalant abuse." Of course that makes me want to huff it.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Sure, of course.

Luckily, I'm old enough to know better! And can prove it.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Many thanks for the birthday wishes on Isaac's behalf.

He's 4 today, Seska, as he's been proudly telling everyone all day.

I am putting any kind of party until after my classes end, so today is just cupcakes with family. Mmm, cupcakes.

AWWWWWWWW!

Had a toddler in the house who kept banging on different parts of the fence yelling "OPEN IT!" (where there was no gate) and a beautiful mellow infant who rolled over by herself for the first time at our house!

I gotta write to these folks to make sure they are reassured that we enjoyed having them all over. Since we don't have kids I think people think that we are put out by kid craziness.
