I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I decided to do a serging repair project that had been out for a few months- I thread the machine, cover and force mac outside for a half hour, come back to find that the stupid cat who eats thread has clawed off the cover and pulled thread out of one room and into another. Who knows how much he ate, but he has thrown up twice. Stoopid.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Ada Lovelace - the Comic Strip.

That's awesome. "Hey look, we're present for the invention of the geek."

I had to spend most of the day inside, but now I'm comfortably ensconced at the backyard patio table with my laptop and sun-shading umbrella and it's just pretty wonderful.

Bea was a year younger than my Mom -- two years come June 2nd.

Yikes ita - I hope there is no lingering damage.

Damn flea, I cannot even imagine.

I just closed my window and balcony door because it's getting chilly out there, probably the mid-60s now, and it's been raining pretty hard all day.

Whoa! It's 88 here according to the WeatherUnderground, but it's under 40% humidity, so it's very comfortable. I picked a good day to start wearing my sandals.

ita, take care of yourself! I was just talking to another student at school today about you and krav maga and what you've told me about it. It made me want to start up karate again... which is about 20 years since, now.

Seska -- welcome!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

88 here too. I just installed my first windowbox in this apartment (going to attempt to not kill cilantro, basil, and mint), and drinking a nice cold glass of homemade seltzer. Ahhhh, domesticity in the spring!

Lightning and thunder and monsoon-level rains, oh, my! It's really coming down out there right now. I'm glad I shut my window/door when I did, because the water is blowing under my three-foot overhang right onto the glass.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh dear ita. I'm glad things seem okay now, but take care of yourself.

Our wings are not tired.

We could use some of those monsoon rains here. Big fires in the everglades. Everything is so dry.
