"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Her first house, which is contributing to her stress level, as you can imagine.

Indeed. We're not up to buying yet - we were looking, but have decided to put it off for now. But moving sucks, generally. (I use a wheelchair so need accessible places, and we've moved a lot. It's a frequently recurring nightmare.) *Ouch* on the fainting and knee - hope Aleve does the trick.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

ita, I wish I had the ability to design a Weeble device for you.

That's very scary, Flea.

I think my vacuum cleaner is dead, or nearly so. I shut it off when it started smelling like smoke. I'd love a Roomba, but it might take as much effort to prevent the thing from choking on cat toys as it would to just push a vacuum around.

I think I may have unwittingly flirted my way into free drinks at lunch today. I was just smiling because I'm happy, and was only as courteous as usual, but my waitress (whom I do not know) started blushing and comped part of my ticket.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Bea Arthur passed: [link]

I'm surprised she was 86. She did actually seem younger, though I guess she couldn't be.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

do you have any liquid hydrogen peroxide? That should definitely take blood out.

I do have some of that around. Oxyclean took out the small stains, but the big one looks kinda dark still. I'll give it a shot.

I'm pretty sure I'm nothing but sore. I'm just sore in enough different places that there are no comfortable positions. And I think I have to relearn how to wrap my leg without cutting off circulation to the calf. Knees are tricky that way.

wraps all ita's hard surfaces in bubble wrap.

This time it was either the wall or the floor that did the damage. I managed to make it all the way past the bedside table of doom that lurks in my living room! I just forgot about the rest of the environment.

Yikes on the shooting. That is totally scary.

Bea? Wow. I knew she was old, but I sort of viewed her as statically so.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

ita, you need a cabana boy to take you everywhere, including the ER when necessary. Or, better yet, a cabana boy with mysterious migraine healing powers!!!

Miracleman, get right on that, please.

Today, the bookstore had a Fancy Nancy party, so we had a huge bunch of little girls all dressed up in their party dresses, some with tiaras and other fancy accessories. Very cute!! In fact, the first girl I saw was probably the best--she had a wonderful princess dress, a tiara, "pearls" around her neck, and her mom had put hair extensions in that were these long curly tresses. Absolutely adorable!

Now tagless for your comfort.

I do have some of that around. Oxyclean took out the small stains, but the big one looks kinda dark still. I'll give it a shot.

DH asked me last week why we have four 32oz bottles of HP in the house. We just need a lot for protein-based stains. It's the bomb.

ita, definitely take are of yourself.

Our wings are not tired.

Ugh, just turned on the news and the shooting is being covered. Scary stuff.

Ouch! ita needs padded surfaces and the cabana boy. Then never fall or have another migraine to be able to properly enjoy the boy's company.

Swine flu stuff is weird too since the last time I got a flu shot was during the swine flue scare in the 60s.

Bea Arthur was such fun to watch. Also, younger than my mother. It is always unsettling when it is someone her age.
