So I own a home as of 1 pm today.
Which prompted me to change all the locks save one I am replacing myself.
And then drop more money at Home Depot.
I did refrain from buying new sconces, though. I need to research that.
Good god.
It was a very unusual closing in that the seller didn't show, just signed everything before. And my bank guy had a family emergency (which started earlier this week and I knew about.)
So just 3 of us. Weird.
There is so much to do and money to spend.
I wanted cupcakes -- but I did not feel like making them . so I have brownies in the oven instead.
They also had mini lily darlings, but not in my size (11!!) which made me sad. oh well.
Go back and buy them for me!!!!!!

Is it usual to do it face to face? On closing day, I went to my lawyers office, signed my life away, gave him the cheque, he sent it on the the seller's lawyer, and once it was deposited, the house was mine.
My Real estate agent gave me the keys the day before so we wouldn't have to meet up when the transfer was made.
