Reavers ain't men. Or they forgot how to be. Now they're just nothing. They got out to the edge of the galaxy, to that place of nothing, and that's what they became.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Schedule Right Now:

Get up: 7-ish
Leave: 7:40-ish
Get to work: 8-ish.

In three weeks that will change a bit since my work hours will go back to 9-5. Woohoo! I will probably get up a bit earlier to get Em her breakfast and do some yoga.

“Not dead yet!”

Alarm at 6:15 (theoretically for the kids, too, but Nate's forever hitting the snooze).

Lewis takes Nate to bus stop at 7:10

I take Abby to bus stop at 7:50

Lewis goes to work at 8:15

I start working about the same time. (I don't like starting until the house is empty.)

Obama reads Where The Wild Things Are. He reminds me startlingly of Mr. Rogers. [link]

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Up: 5:30ish (looks at clock...I guess it's a very loose and fuzzy "ish" this morning)

Putter around on computer a bit

6:15 Put away yesterday's dishes, get coffee started, wash last night's dishes, tidy the kitchen (if it's an Emmett morning, make sure his afternoon snack is in his backpack)

6:45 Hec comes out with Matilda, I take her and cuddle her while he finishes the coffee

6:50-7:10 (Emmett days) Make sure both kids are awake, fed and clothed while Hec showers, then they all head out the door

7:10-7:50 Breakfast, shower, tidy living room and bathroom, try to remember lunch, head out the door

or 6:50-7:50 (non-Emmett days) Hec and I split the waking, feeding, clothing and breakfast for ourselves while taking turns in the shower; Matilda either ignores me completely in the thrill of picking out shoes for the day, or hugs me piteously and says, "Mommy, I want to go to work for you!" and I'm out the door

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Alarm: 4:30 am

Get Up for Real: 5:30 - 6:00 am

Catch Bus: 7:08 or 7:28

Get to Work 8:00 or 8:30

You would think I could set the alarm later, but if I set it until 5:30, then I sleep until 7.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Theoretically, up at 6:30, on the train by 7, at work at 8. (I pick up a bagel on my way in and eat at my desk.)

In practice, up at 6:55, on the train by 7:20, at work 8:15ish. Today I'm staying late to have drinks with a co-worker who is getting married on Sunday, so I arrived at the more leisurely hour of...8:30.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

A little more Obama love - the girls held back so that the younger kids could win the race. And the puppy arrives today.
