JPL~ma to you, Allyson!
So many moves going on. I noted elsewhere that it's fascinating to compare reactions to 'em.
My neighbor and I were discussing the owners of our apartment, a couple who are lovely people but getting on a bit in years. We're really hoping they'll sell the buildings for condos, and that we'd be able to buy in. We love the location, and the apartments themselves are quite nice. We just want to be able to replace the carpets with bamboo flooring and paint the walls. All the good things about buying a place, but none of the actual moving.
How can anyone find this creepy?
I hate phone calls and I have a lot more to make. Blearg.
OH! I could totally make phone calls for you! Seriously, if we could work something out I wouldn't mind. Actually, I like making phone calls for other people. And I feel bad I'm not going to be available to help with other stuff in the next couple of weeks.
I wish I could take you up on it, lisah! Unfortunately, all shit in which I have to make decisions in call. Moving bids, moving times and the verizon changes once I finalize moving dates. And then all the change of addresses.
And don't feel bad. Lives are. I just hit a multifecta of bad timing, but one of my other Lisa's friends who lives mere blocks away from the new place has volunteered herself and her fiance to help too. And there are the old and new neighbors.
You know what'll be weird? Not hearing trains. With the exception of 3.5 years in college, I've always heard the trains. LC, Prague, here. 30ish years of trains. Where the house is, no trains.
Good luck with the interview, Allyson!
We had a great weekend, but egads, so much to tell. Some wonderful moments. I think I need to blog about it before I lose it. But yoiks, I fell so behind in my grading!
Also? Getting a FB message from people I left behind in high school is, it turns out, no biggie to me. But getting a message from a college ex? WEIRDNESS.
All good luck, Allyson!
All good moving, sara! And there will be something to take the place of trains, something you unexpectedly love that you haven't had anyplace else you've lived.
Is that Browder in Harvey-fu, Matt?
job ma~~~~ Allyson. I'd love things to get back to normal for you quickly.
Every placed I've lived with DH has trains, I love them. But my neighbor has some rescued frogs in his pond/water feature. That was the song I grew up with. I had no idea how much I missed them .
That was my round about way of agreeing with Beverly
Best of luck, Allyson.
I managed to eat lunch, just one meal today, and (TMI)
just brought it back up.
Despite a lengthy and intensive history of migraines, that about never happens to me. I feel very weird.
