Oh, man, FNL knocked it out of the park tonight. I totally didn't know what to expect after last week, where
they lost State.
Moving to
five months later (or more likely six--it must be June, yeah?) was a brilliant move. Also, Eric going to East Dillon? Gives us a reset button that really works for me. I had been complaining that I didn't care about JD McCoy and his rich white boy angst, and now I don't have to.
We'll get a whole
new cast of high school kids and Eric will have to work with them, and that's what he's good at. He's good at working with the scrappy kids, the underdogs, not the kids with all the privileges.
Also, we'll get
a built-in rivalry with Dillon High. This is even better than Arnett-Meade.
I love it.
Also? I love Tyra and Landry, and omg Tami and Eric are the Best Married People Ever on Television. ::loves::
oh god, why did i call my parents right before sarah connor came on?
Dana, I hope you have a DVR!
I'm still not watching. I don't want it to be over!
I paid about 75% attention, and was off the phone within about 10 minutes. I'll probably rewatch online.
having a bunch of people over for brunch on Sunday -- everything before that is prep -- cleaning and cooking
FNL: I am also really glad that they
didn't end with the state championship. They're showing that they can play with our expectations of how the season is going to work. And I am also very happy that we get a very natural reset and we won't have them manipulating events to make us like JD. Also, I wonder if Landry will be redistricted out of West?
Sumi, that's a good question. I would like to continue seeing
Landry. Also, if Tami's the principal, doesn't that mean she's running both schools? Or will the Taylors be in two different schools?
Yeah, FNL was pretty fricking awesome. I'm so glad the season is coming out on DVD so soon.
Suela - I was wondering that too -
and if Julie will be transferring.
I'm expecting a hell of a
cross-town rivalry in Dillon now. BTW, LOVED the Riggins Brothers tonight. Buying a longhorn! Tim's whining while Billy tried (and failed) to fix the truck. That talking to that Billy gave Tim when he talked about NOT going to college. I wonder how far along Mindy is. . . as in - will we be seeing Billy dealing with the very pregnant wife? Or Billy dealing with sleepness nights of new fatherhood?
I will not read the FNL whitefont. I will not read the FNL whitefont. I will not read the FNL whitefont.
On another note entirely: Dear Human Race, If you insist on chewing gum, I should not be able to see it or, especially, hear it. To say it's gross is putting it nicely. I realize the whole smelling it part may be due to my pregnant superpowers, but that's gross, too. Signed, Had to Change my Seat this Morning Because I Thought I was Going to be Sick.
