A ghost? What's the deal? Is every frat on this campus haunted? And if so, why do people keep coming to these parties, cause it's not the snacks.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Mmm, lamb.

I have making cookies on the list for tonight, too. But seeing as how I'm on, like, item 5 of 25 for the whole day, I'm thinking cookies aren't going to make the cut.

Go Spartans! (I'm on tivo delay, though. The SO is watching Montreal hockey. He hates Montreal. I am failing to see the logic of why this precludes watching the NCAA finals, especially when the folks are likely to call me up as soon as the game ends.)

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I. Will. Kill. Nunya.

Ply is out all night, comes back in the morning happy as a clam. Nunya slips out as Ply comes in, is out for maybe ten minutes, gets into a fight. Comes back inside limping. Come home from work, she doesn't try prying the door open like she usually does. Find her under the bed purring away, but it's the wrong kind of purr. Pull her out and palpate and find her front leg is swollen. Vet's closed, warm compresses, and beg my dad for money.

It was safer up in NH with the coyotes, fisher cats, ravens, bears, high-trafficked road and white trash with b.b. guns.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Oh no Juliebird! If it's a "cat fight abcess" like Persey had it's not back-breaking expensive but I think altogether I spent $500 getting Persey back to healthy. I'm not sure how long she went before I noticed the lump, though. You might have caught it soon enough that warm compresses will help. My fingers are crossed for you and Nunya.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

It cost 600 for aspiration and sedation, minor surgery and an overnight stay, and I have a record of the last abscess costing 125. So, it's not outrageous, I just simply don't have the money. I am down to loose change until my next paycheck.

Boss is giving me no hope about a raise. "I'll put the question forward, but They'll think that if they give you one, then the other two salaried staff will have to get one." What is this, a union?

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I 'taught' DH to make ham steak with pineapple and mustard-brown sugar sauce. plus there was broccoli. We both like vegetables. But we are puzzled why vegetables often taste like real food.

Good luck with the fighting cat, Juliebird.

Thanks!

Maybe I'll nickname my cats the Agathons.

Go, Gracie!

I went to a new tapas place for (early) dinner. Chorrizo w/ mushrooms (yum), fried goat cheese w/ saltanas and a sherry reduction (yum yum), and grilled shrimp w/ garlic (oh so good), and some red wine. And a cutie patootie waiter-dude. It was delicious, and, dangerously, it's about five minutes from where I live.

Oh, and then I went to the Y several hours later. Two days in a row. Hey, it's a start. Treadmill.

Jesus christ, this is making me insane. I put one down nearest where the first came off. But I can't recall where I put the first. And it has been under 30 minutes. I'm losing it.
