"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

msbelle is love. I cannot wait until you are happily settled into your new house. You are going to get so much enjoyment out of it.

I had sleep issues on both sides. I was wakeful and sinusy and so I took my version of tylenol pm (tylenol & benedryl) and then I was zonked and missed church today. Oops.

However, I feel great now! And I managed to rewire the whole entertainment tower so that I can record any type of media off any other type of media or I can record the tivo passthrough. Yay! So I'm running off the show about Seabiscuit's stable, and our Biscuit is hanging out in there listening to it because they keep saying his name.

And I'm doing more laundry and dishes and I made a bunch of (buffalo) spaghetti sauce yesterday so I don't have to cook today and it's finally not windy and whew!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

It's hailing here.

It is April, right?

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Shir, I'm sorry, that dress is terrible. Sure, if you changed most of the things about it, it would be OK....

It CAN be beautiful. On me. With few minor changes. But really, I'd just love to see more dresses with that shape around. IJS.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I would call it sleet. But yeah, dude, April!

My standard is, if it bounces more than four inches, it's hail. Otherwise it's sleet.

Hmmm... it's not bouncing high enough to be hail right now....

Our wings are not tired.

Did you guys know that it's unpossible to be in a bad mood around a puppy? It's like having my very own puppycam. The best thing about 4-month old Cayenne is that she's still learning how to use her limbs.

This is so cool. I'm From Driftwood A blog featuring coming out stories

I love this:

I’m From Clarksville, TN.

We were just children on the playground. I was a tall and chunky girl, and you were even taller and so much more graceful. What grade were we in? I swear it was the third grade; it couldn’t have been anything more.

I was on the swings as you pushed me, and as the bell was called and I dug my feet into the ground to walk inside with the rest of the class. I heard you walk up behind me, and you said my name. I turned. You asked me to come to your house for the weekend, to spend the night.

That Saturday, I went to your house. I remember all so clearly. I sat on the floor, and you brushed my hair. “Can I tell you a secret?” you asked, and I looked up, and nodded. It didn’t take you long to kneel beside me on the ground and bend over, cupping your hand around my ear: “I think I like girls like I should like boys.”

The antics of Loki are a source of joy for me too, javachick. The other cats too, but the childishness is funny in its own way.

I've got various reasons to be anxious (ask msbelle and lisah) especially with more torrential rain tomorrow. I'm at a point where I just want to hide for a bit.

I should pack some more tonight (my inner completist wants to) but the rest of me? Um.

Also? The Chile & Cayenne serires reminds me very much of Mister Kitty and Loki. Fun!

I totally thought the same thing when I was taking the photos. Also, a lot of the advice on this board helped when I was contemplating a puppy adoption. I didn't set out last Sunday thinking I'd be adopting a puppy that day, but when I saw Cayenne sitting in the pen on the sidewalk in Berkeley (Milo Foundation Adoptions sets up shop there on Sundays), I instantly fell in love. Steven the boyfriend got extra points that day because the one hour shopping excursion he had agreed to that day turned into a flat tire, 2 hours of shopping and 2 hours of puppy adopting. It was a looooong afternoon.

But well worth it.
