Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Vinegar. Interesting.

That everyblock site lead me to look up the LA County Public Health restaurant rating for a C-rated restaurant near me, hoping it would say why it got a C. Cockroaches! Unsanitised food prep surfaces! Improper food storage temperatures! Honestly, from reading the violation pages, I'm not sure why it's still open.

Sadly to say I've eaten there, while it had the C rating. I just didn't realise the rating until afterwards. Sure, I'm still alive and all, but I'm mighty skeeved lo these months later.

Food was pretty good.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Just got back from my first swim in 18 months! I made a huuuuge mistake--when I had done about 20 laps, I took another break and then debated whether I should just stop there or continue. Since I wasn't all that tired, I decided to push through to the 33rd lap and get the full mile in. Then I had to get out of the pool. Oh.My.God, I felt like lead. I could barely make it to the locker room and debated again if I should shower there or wait until I got home. I finally got the energy to shower there, but it took me forever to get dried and dressed afterwards.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I want to eat nachos. I'm not even hungry! But yet, I have a taste in my mouth for nachos. Hmmm.

Every time I've thought of eating so far today I've gotten the hiccoughs. It's very dispiriting.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

You swam a mile, Kathy? Day-um, I haven't done that since college. You'll probably feel it tomorrow, but still—congats!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That would be offputting, ita.

I just took a nap by mistake. It wasn't a very good one though, and now I am very foggy brained.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Now my problem is that delivery nachos probably won't be very good, but I don't really feel like going to the store. Maybe tomorrow.

I'm feeling it now! It took me almost 85 minutes to do it, but I finished. When I was swimming on a regular basis two years ago, I worked my way up to the mile, and then whittled my time down to just over an hour. If I get the energy to go again tomorrow, I think I'll keep it at 20 laps so I don't get so exhausted afterwards.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Impressive, Kathy! I tried swimming a couple of weeks aggo and managed all of two laps. Two!
