Mine's worse, I think--252 (156/77). I can't exercise at all, because my knee prohibits me even going up stairs. So any transformation requires dietary changes. I guess less cheese and bacon.

Oh, damn, ita. You're already so restricted because of migraine triggers. Do they expect you to live on very lightly scented air?
Random weatherness: It's been relentlessly windy here for the past couple of days; just a moment ago, I heard a long, groaning CREEEEE-ACKKKK and looked out the window to see half of one of the trees in a neighbor's yard just peel off and fall across someone else's back fence.
I had been planning to walk through the tree-filled park to pick Matilda up. That plan may need some last-minute revision.
The 77 is good.
add more whole grains if you can
What is funny is that I am fat, hardly exercise, and eat only so-so, and my cholesterol is apparently perfect. WTF?
So much of cholesterol is genetics. for some diet makes a difference. Exercise usually raised the good cholesterol . And for women -- the ratio is more important than the total number -- unless the total number is way high. And I am betting stress ( the bad kind ) raises it . But I have no proof.
In ongoing I hate rain news, my apartment roof leaked.
Come ON.
And msbelle, just so you know?
I am INCREDIBLY disorganized right now. It's like my brain gave up. I was going to sort and put away tonight, but...my brain gave up. So the apartment is kinda chaos.
I know marathon runners and vegans with high cholesterol. I am sedentary and have regular periods of basically living on cheeseburgers and mine stays okay. There is stuff going on that we just don't know.

Like beth and -t said, it's so much a matter of genetics. I'm morbidly obese, but mine is 135/39, and that good cholesterol number has been going up like it should in the past year (it was at 25). If mine ever got above 150, I'd be as worried as those here who are over 225.
I shall make myself some steel cut oats right now.
