WTF is wrong with people, Sue?

Weekend:

• Saturday visiting friends to meet their brand spanking new son, Harvey (had to include the name as an infant named Harvey just kills me)
• Sunday: Begin packing up the bedroom as our master bathroom remodel starts on 4/22.

Also, yay for Theo's mom being healthy!

This weekend? I'm going to finally get my ass over to the pool after I get off work at the bookstore tomorrow afternoon and go for a swim. Then, I'm going to do my damndest to get my apartment really clean on Sunday while I clean out the Planet Earth eps off my dvr by recording them onto disc.

My dvr is confusing me. It's supposed to be able to record 80 hours, and I've got a total of 45 hours on it right now. But, it says that it's currently 75 percent full, not 50-something. Very strange.

This time it was more funny than anything. Our organization is always telling us that it's interested in improving communications, but management never tell us anything at all, and we always hear through crazy backchannel ways.

This is the same job that my friend applied for as an internal union candidate, and she found out they weren't going to hire her when a friend of hers, who works outside the organziation, emailed her to say that she got called for an interview for the same position. Which was not funny at all, actually.

Last week, I learned that the guy who sits in the cubicle beside me was leaving for a new job when my former boss forwarded me an email announcing his new position. It's just nuts.

Kathy, does the dvr have varying levels of recording quality? Ours has three or four different levels, and we had to find out through miserable trial and FAIL that three eps of a half-hour sitcom can, with the wrong settings, take up more space than two three-hour movies.

This weekend? Not being sick (or at least not as sick), and hopefully Getting. Shit. Done.

Weekend: Building a patio. Hopefully, also finding people to help, in a barn-raising/we will supply really good beer and homemade pizza way.

No, but the Planet Earth eps were all recorded from the HD Discovery channel, not the regular one, so that might be why it took up more space. The dvr really didn't start filling up until I started recording those last month, so that would make sense.

Cleaning house like a maniac. K-Bug comes into town next week and mom's health has been worse than usual lately, so it is up to CJ and I to get the place spiffy.

My room is usually the last to get cleaned, but she will be sharing it with me, so I have to be a good girl and clean my room.

Oh, there is also 3 hours of karate on Saturday, followed by an hour in a hot bath.
