Well, it's just good to know that when the chips are down and things look grim you'll feed off the girl who loves you to save your own ass!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I do not sing to the cats.

I sing to mine. Mickey. Because his name is...well, you get it. I also hold him and dance around the room while singing that song to him. He puts up with it because I feed him.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I do not sing to the cats.

Oh, I sing to mine. Dread Beastie used to get "Nemesis" by Shriekback because of the line "Big black nemesis" in the chorus. Trin and the boykitties are usually treated to "Lovecats" by The Cure.

Clovis, however, will bounce around with me to either "Devilbunnies" by My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult or "Astro Zombies" (either the original by The Misfits, or the cover by MCR.)

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I read the sample chapters on line. Must, Must have Pride & Prejudice with Zombies. I also want someone to write Jane Eyre with Zombies just so the last line can be "Reader, I buried him".

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I realize it is very unbuffista of me, but I do not think much of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Not that it's bad, but mostly it makes me want to reread P&P again. Which I can do--without the zombies.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

More of this needs to happen in life. [link]

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I was about to decide that CADIE was the most bizarrely great April Fools day thing I've seen, and then I heard about the Life on Mars finale. OH WOW.

Yeah, for some reason I'm into the contrast. Don't think there is anything unbuffista about a different opinion. In fact I think it would be unBuffista if goats did not vary.

That video was awesome, aurelia.

As for weddings, I just don't understand why do you really have to have one. I understand it from society's PoV, but nsm in a personal PoV.

And yet, here's some pictures from the best wedding I've ever been to.

My future bride will wear this: LED Wedding Dress Features 300 Lights

Not feeling very bridey, but I'd love to try it on.

Anyone know what the racial demographics were for London in Dickens' time? I'm seeing some people arguing that there's no reason that Nancy couldn't be black, and I'm wondering about the stats.

You already got an answer about it, but for Victorian England questions in the future, I'm taking a wonderful class about it and the growth of consumerism back then. AIFG.

Uni:

What is it with my lecturers and not showing up for classes/hours they should be in their offices without letting their students know about this this week? Meh. I mostly came for that, on the only day of the week I don't have any classes.

Oh well. Will have to try and understand something on my own.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Morning! Spare cat was acting very cuddly (and very insistent about it, like rubbing her head on my hands as I'm trying to type), but when I clicked on the Youtube link and played the music, she immediately checked out the speakers with great interest. Maybe she's secretly Dutch or a musical fan.
