I can't control the circumstances or other's reactions. At a different place in my life I could drop things and switch directions on a dime, but now I can't and it is exhausting to feel like you have to apologize for not meeting expectations over and over and over.

How long is too long for a sore throat? I mean, other than five seconds? Because I've had this one and not really other allergy/cold symptoms for a couple weeks now. I have to hit up three pharmacies for prescriptions tomorrow--I wonder if I'll remember to a) check lozenges for sugar substitutes b) buy lozenges.
And I wish either my migraine guy or my pain management office would call me back--how am I supposed to make appointments in voicemail? I sense flaws in their systems.

In my recent experience, it's a lot easier to find cough drops/throat lozenges with sugar (or HFCS) than without.
Does your throat hurt all the time, or is it worse in the mornings or after you've been lying down?
