Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Holy crap. Someone put my 7th grade class picture up on Facebook. It is not pretty -- I'm pretty sure the girls of Somerville alone put a hole in the ozone layer with aerosol hairspray...

information libertarian

I rushed to Facebook, but did not find Jesse Big Hair. Perhaps she untagged herself. I did find that Facebook thinks I may know Ellen Kushner (I do not).

Through the happy combination of super-dorkiness and prep school, I never had Big Hair. I had a brief period of Feathered Wings, but went to a simple chin-length bob as soon as I could (mid-7th grade), and stuck with it. I don't think I've ever owned a can of hairspray except for Halloween costumes.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Ahahahaha! So did I.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I watched Star Trek IV - the Search for Whales a few months ago. It was sad - the main female character (the whale expert) had big hair, which was to be expected because she was living in the 1980s. But then she went back to the future with Kirk et al, and she went to work for Starfleet. But she still had big hair. Like, in the 23rd century they should know better. Apparently no one told her about the evils of big hair. Probably because they found her annoying.

I just tagged myself now! But I don't know if it's visible to other people. Also, I did not have big hair.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had pretty big hair, so I expect it of everyone.
