I fed off a flowerperson, and I spent the next six hours watchin' my hand move.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm sorry about the jealous and the cranky, esp the cranky. You have my empathy. I hate feeling sleep deprived.

With the kids around I don't trust myself taking anything like Ambien, or even Lunesta, so I've been stuck with melatonin for the past 6 months or so. Seems to be helping to slowly improve my sleep. Emphasis on the slowly. But still, I'm thankful my sleep is finally improving.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think Lunesta is supposed to be fine, but Ambien probably isn't a good idea if there's anything you need to be accountable for the next morning. Lunesta's not a hypnotic or a memory-wiper, so it should be okay, as far as I've read.

Not that it works for me, so by my experience it'd be totally fine.

It's very irritating because I go to bed when I start yawning, just in case, but I'll happily lie in bed for an hour, yawning. How am I supposed to know when to try and sleep?

Compassionately intolerant

In thres last three weeks of dreadful uti-ness, the answer to when I should try to sleep has pretty much been anytime I can lie down. Still hasn't worked, on most occassions.

There is very little that is more frustrating than sleeplessness in my universe. Can't think straight, can't get anything done, can't heal. Total fail.

I'm so sorry ita, that in the midst of everything else, sleep is eluding you. What an unfair pisser.

Sigh. Well, I do want to sleep. Maybe I'll stick with my fairly useless melatonin. It may not really work that well, but at least it's available OTC.

I'm sorry that Lunesta isn't working for you. I hate not being able to sleep, or not being able to stay asleep. That's my downfall, sounds like it's yours too.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I am finally caught up on this thread. Happy birthday to Noah and Grace!

I am also tired like whoa. Got back from business trip to Minneapolis late on Friday. Got up early on Saturday to drive up the coast to visit MiL, just out of the hospital. She is doing very well, so that is one less worry. Left DH there, took the train home today. Got here, had an hour at home to throw a load of laundry in. I am now here at the office until the (chronically late) graveyard person gets in, so I can fire her.

Oy Scrappy, that's not a fun way to end the day.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Holy cripes, Scrappy. Speaking of your work, I saw Kyle Kinane on Friday and OMG. Minds were fucking blown. Bob, BiL and I had to leave the show after his set because all the laughs had been sucked from our skulls.

Swouncing

Skipping oh-yet-again to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is libkitty's birthday.

Happy birthday, libkitty! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

Happy Birthday, libkitty!

Re. Dowd's article: I have green eyes. Just give me the bailout money and I'll sort everything out. Pinky-swear!

I think she was trying to talk about race without really talking about race. And thus ended up talking about nothing. Although I have an earworm from the Who now, so I suppose that's information transfer of a sort.
